Children Have Fun Learning About Dental Health During Annual ‘Celebration of Smiles’ Event

Volunteer Teaches BrushingOn Saturday, January 10, The ODS Companies sponsored the Portland Children’s Museum's annual “Celebration of Smiles” event. Children who visited the museum learned about the importance of proper oral care through interactive exhibits and fun stories read by volunteers. More than 20 ODS volunteers and their families helped children complete a scavenger hunt throughout the museum. At each dental related exhibit, children received child-sized toothbrushes, coloring sheets with a dental theme, floss and toothpaste. ODS sponsored this year’s event as part of the ongoing Children’s Oral Health Initiative (COHI), which is intended to improve the oral health of Oregon’s children.
